Nourishing Pets, Supporting Communities: Our Commitment to Animal Welfare
At Pet World Nutritions, we believe every pet deserves the best possible life. On 15 July, we had the honour of hosting a special event at our headquarters in Shah Alam to reaffirm our commitment to animal welfare. The event marked a meaningful milestone in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) journey — a donation of nearly half a million ringgit worth of nutritious pet meals to local shelters and municipal councils.
We were deeply humbled by the presence of DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin, whose attendance reflects strong royal support for the growth of Malaysia’s pet care industry and local economic development. Her grace and compassion for animals continue to inspire us.
This CSR initiative will provide over half a million healthy pet meals to stray animals across Malaysia, helping ease the burden for shelters and local councils caring for rescued pets.
We’re proud to continue our long-term partnerships with SPCA Selangor and local councils including Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam, Majlis Bandaraya Diraja Klang, and Majlis Perbandaran Sepang. Beyond food aid, we’re also supporting meaningful research — including plans for Malaysia’s first Cat Nutrition Research Center with MP Sepang and a Dog Nutrition Research Center with MBSA — to deepen our understanding of pet nutrition and welfare.
So far, our CSR efforts have provided over 1.8 million meals nationwide, and we’re not stopping there. We continue to work closely with academic partners such as Universiti Malaya and Universiti Putra Malaysia to drive evidence-based research and training in animal care.
